Akshanaa is pursuing an Honors Bachelor of Health Sciences with Specialization in Health Sciences at the University of Western Ontario, while simultaneously leading SimplyMed, an organization she has grown and managed for three years. Her exceptional leadership in medical education is demonstrated through innovative programming including a global summer school course that teaches medicine basics to individuals of all ages and a comprehensive virtual college/university fair specifically designed for individuals interested in pursuing careers in the medical field.

Her outstanding community service was formally recognized through the prestigious Lieutenant Governor's Community Volunteer Award, highlighting her significant contributions to public service and education. Her commitment to mentorship extends beyond her organizational leadership through three years of academic tutoring experience in mathematics and English with established platforms like Kumon and Varsity Tutors.
