A compassionate leader and innovative connector who bridges generations through performative arts while developing the next generation of community-minded leaders.

Ethan is an incoming freshman at Western University studying Health Science, recognized as a Loran Scholarship Finalist—chosen as one of only 96 finalists from 6,000 applicants across Canada based on exceptional character, service, and leadership qualities. His visionary approach to community connection is exemplified through his founding of Gen-Connect, an innovative nonprofit that has hosted over 20 events across the York region, creating meaningful connections between students and seniors through performative arts while addressing intergenerational isolation in a creative and impactful way.

His exceptional mentoring and leadership development skills are demonstrated through his guidance of a 15-member high school leadership team at Gen-Connect, where he has successfully mentored these students to carry out events and ensure organizational success, building their confidence and leadership capabilities while creating sustainable programming that continues to serve the community. This experience showcases his natural ability to identify potential in others and provide the support and structure needed for their growth and success.

His commitment to mentorship extends to his role as Jozo Weider Alpine Ski Racing Team Coach, where he engaged and mentored a U12 team, teaching them the mechanics of ski racing while creating an inclusive and fun learning environment that fostered both skill development and personal resilience. His ability to work with younger athletes demonstrates his patience, communication skills, and talent for making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable.

His recognition as a Loran Scholarship Finalist, combined with his proven track record of building innovative programs that serve communities and his extensive experience developing young leaders, makes Ethan the ideal mentor for students interested in healthcare and health sciences, nonprofit development, intergenerational programming, creative community solutions, and learning how to build inclusive environments where others can thrive and develop their leadership potential.
